BROCKTON, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Filming has begun for a new season of the popular AMC show The Walking Dead: Dead City, and Massachusetts has been a major filming location.
The city of Brockton said the show’s crew applied to shut down Fredrick Douglas Ave. between Main St. and Warren Ave. for Monday, Sept. 8 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. for filming of The Walking Dead sequel series.
While little has been said from those directly on scene, trucks full of lights, cameras and other equipment have been rolled into the filming area for the day.
Jason Lopes, a business agent at Teamsters 25, explained that the production company is shooting season three of this series, and much like seasons one and two, most of the filming has been done in Massachusetts. This is despite the fact that the show takes place in New York City.
