Five AMTRAK Employees Injured In Readville Station Track Truck Collision

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Five AMTRAK workers are injured after an equipment collision early Friday morning in Hyde Park. MBTA Transit Police said two track trucks crashed into each other at about 4:30 a.m. near the MBTA Readville Commuter Rail Station.

Boston EMS said five workers were injured and brought to local hospitals. MBTA Police said their injuries appear to be non-life threatening.

The crash caused serious damage to both track trucks. The incident doesn't appear to have caused any delays on the Commuter Rail. The MBTA Transit Police is investigating how the accident happened.
