BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — The recent snow in the Commonwealth has forced golfers to leave the courses for the simulators.

Five Iron Golf, which opened up about a year ago near Boston City Hall, gives golfers the chance to stay on their game and warm through the winter with indoor golf simulators. Customers can also enjoy food and a full bar, while they hit the virtual links.

“We have 15 simulators in-house. All of them use Trackman technology which is a top-of-the-line launch monitor technology,” said Director of Golf Sam Sack.

Each simulator features more than 300 golf courses from around the world, giving people the chance to play iconic courses like Saint Andrews in Scotland, or Pebble Beach in California.

“You can go right out to California and play [No. 7] at Pebble if you want to,” said Sack.

Instead of playing in the cold and with temporary greens, golfers can improve their game in the places that need it most.

“You can work on your game and tinker and work out all of the elements you want to fix in your game during the cold winter months when you typically wouldn’t be able to swing,” said Sack.
