Flight To London Makes Unexpected Landing At Logan

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — An American Airlines flight heading from Philadelphia to London was forced to divert to Boston's Logan Airport late Sunday night due to reports of odor in the cabin.

The Airbus A330-300, bound for London Heathrow with 154 passengers and 12 crew members aboard, made an emergency landing in Boston at 11:48 p.m, nearly two hours after departing from Philadelphia.

10 crew members were transported to local hospitals for evaluation. No passengers complained of an illness, the airline said.

American Airlines Statement:

Flight 728 from Philadelphia to London Heathrow diverted to Boston after a possible odor was reported in the cabin. The aircraft, an airbus a330-300 with 154 passengers and a crew of 12 landed safely at 11:48 p.m and taxied to the gate. Our maintenance team is currently reviewing the issue.
