BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) – As rainfall is to left the area, there were many flooded roads throughout southern New England.

The National Weather Service said it will take time for the water in the roads to recede, so they advised people to not try to cross any flooded areas.

WBZ Traffic (@WBZTraffic) has reported multiple crashes, cars getting stuck in the water and many roads becoming impassable. Storrow Drive in Boston was deemed impassable at one point with portions of it being closed off between Fenway and Beacon Street.

NWS has issued a Flash Flood Warning in Boston, Cambridge and Quincy until 9:00 am Thursday.

WBZ's Jim MacKay (@JimMacKayOnAir) was in Bristol County early Thursday morning where he found cars underwater and abandoned.

WBZ's James Rojas (@JamesRojasWBZ) was in Plymouth where crews were out cleaning drains to try and keep up with the flooding.
