Forecast Returns To Normalcy Following Record-Breaking Weekend

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — The forecast is expected to return to lower temperatures following a record-breaking weekend.

According to the National Weather Service, Boston reached a high of 73 degrees on Sunday, the hottest January temperature ever recorded in the city; the old record was 62 degrees, set in 1975.

This week will see temperatures dip back down with highs mostly in the upper 30s and lower 40s.

The average temperature will still be five degrees higher than normal and a sunny Wednesday will see a high of 53 degrees.

Snow is likely on Saturday afternoon and evening.
