Forecast Warns Of A Cold New Year’s Celebration

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — If you plan on going out for New Year’s Eve on Wednesday night, be sure to bundle up.

The National Weather Service of Boston reports that temperatures in Boston will get as low as 24 degrees. If the cold wasn’t enough, forecasters also called for about an inch of snow starting at 10 P.M. Wednesday and won’t end until the next morning.

Events like First Night Boston are almost entirely outside in areas like Boston Common and City Hall Plaza. Fireworks for the New Year take place at Boston Harbor, assuring a cold ocean breeze.

NWS Boston says that the wind chill tonight could make it feel like 17 degrees. Many events suggest that patrons prepare accordingly for the chilly weather.
