WINDERMERE, Fla. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Former Red Sox outfield Johnny Damon was arrested in Florida Friday morning, according to records from the Orange County Department of Corrections.
He was arrested by Windermere Police around 8:15 a.m. and charged with driving under the influence and resisting an officer without violence.
Damon played for the Red Sox from 2002 to 2005. He was a pivotal part of the 2004 World Series Championship team.
Damon played in Major League Baseball for 18 seasons.
