According to the BC Heights student newspaper, the students with the two confirmed cases were studying in the United Kingdom and Ireland. The students with the presumptive cases were studying in Madrid.

As part of efforts to slow the spread of the virus, Boston College announced that it would transition to online classes Thursday, March 19 and would continue for the remainder of the semester.

Most students were to leave the campus by Sunday, March 15, though exceptions would be made on a case-by-case basis.
