SCITUATE, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — A pack of Great Danes at the Scituate Animal Shelter are looking for a forever family.

Blake, Sunshine, Tato, and Griffin weigh a total of 450 pounds, and they are the latest addition to the South Shore shelter.

“This is unusual to have this many large dogs at once for sure,” Amanda Eddy Baker, director of program and operations, told WBZ News Radio. “So, we’ve had one Great Dane at a time before, [but] never hosted four.”

Baker added that the hard part is not having enough space for all of them.

“Our kennels aren’t built for four large dogs, so you feel more bad for them,” she continued. “They’re honestly really good dogs.”

Blake, along with her pups, Sunshine and Tato, are available for adoption now.

Meanwhile, Griffin still needs a little more time to grow before he is up for adoption, even though he currently weighs a whopping 140 pounds right now.

“He should be about 180 [pounds] which is enormous,” Baker said. “He loves other dogs. It’s like horses running around.”
