BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — The 2025 Four Nations Face-Off took place Thursday Night, and with it came an economic boom for Boston businesses around TD Garden.
High Street Place Food Hall has been reeling in the benefits of the tournament, with many workers noticing the increase in foot traffic.
“So we're really a hub for lunch and after-work crowds, but we’ve been seeing a lot of people in later, it’s been really great for our businesses here at High Street Place,” Lauren Johnson, Senior Marketplace Manager at High Street Place told WBZ NewsRadio. “All of our restaurant partners really rally behind it.”
High Street Place has hosted some national guests as well, who they said are a welcome presence.
“The Canadian and Swedish consulates have been so awesome… We’re really excited for the 2026 Winter Olympics next winter and would love to see the four nations face off in 2027,” Johnson said to WBZ NewsRadio.
In an interview with Meet Boston President Martha Sheridan, she told WBZ NewsRadio that the influx is different from a usual sports outing in Boston.
“That’s the beauty of a tournament like this, it’s different from our regular season, Celtics and Bruins sports activity. It adds an extra layer,” Sheridan told WBZ NewsRadio. “They anticipated it to be successful but I think it’s probably exceeded expectations.”
