Fourth Of July Weekend Expected To Bring Sun, Heat To Greater Boston

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) Greater Boston will ring in the Fourth of July with plenty of sun.

After a rainy and cool Memorial Day weekend, this weekend will bring some much-deserved beach weather.

On Friday, the Boston area is expected to be sunny with low humidity and highs in the mid to low 80s, according to the AccuWeather Forecast.

Saturday looks about the same as Friday, but might be a bit hotter with some clouds here and there.

The humidity will return on Sunday, with AccuWeather predicting highs to be in the 90s.

Despite the great beach weather, some residents might have to travel a little further to settle down by the water.

As of Thursday morning, 26 beaches are closed across Massachusetts, mostly due to high bacteria levels in the water.

The list of closed beaches can be found here, and the state will update the list each hour.
