Framingham Arcade Prepares To Reopen

FRAMINGHAM, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — As the weather gets cooler, parents may be wondering where to take their kids for some indoor fun. Earlier this week, Governor Baker announced that arcades are next on the list of businesses that can reopen.

Mark Daley at Fun and Games in Framingham said he and his staff are scrambling to get the arcade ready for customers to return safely next week.

"All hands are on deck right now, absolutely," he said. "Everybody is here, I just called back all of my employees yesterday, making some more phone calls today."

Daley said he was excited to hear that arcades got bumped up from Phase 4 to Phase 3 of the state's COVID-19 reopening plan. However, he said his own kids did get to make the best of their time in the arcade while the world was on pause.

"There's been a tiny bit of fun," Daley said. "I have two little boys at home. They enjoy their time here when no one else can, and I'm happy to extend that to our customers now."

Fun and Games already got a high score for cleanliness, as masks and hand sanitizer are available throughout the arcade.
