BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — A popular spinoff off a show set in Boston is making a return to its roots. "Frasier," which branches from "Cheers" following Dr. Frasier Crane on his expedites westward will be getting a revival just under two decades after its final episode aired.
Though the show is being shot in Los Angeles, California, the scene will mimic Boston, a town where everybody knows your name. Kelsey Grammar is reprising his role as the witty, sophisticated, and sometimes pretentious Dr. Crane.
WBZ's James Rojas asked some Bostonians what they thought about the streaming series being made outside the Commonwealth, and if they would have rather seen it made locally.
"That would have been great, Massachusetts has become a great place to shoot," one resident said.
"As long as they film it, that's okay with me," said another.
"Frasier" is set to released on Paramount+ later in 2023.
