Free Boston Drive-In Movie Theatre Kicks Off With 'Moana'

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Next week, the City of Boston will kick off its temporary drive-in with the Disney film 'Moana.'

The Parks and Recreation Department has put the free drive-in together. Attendees need will need reserve their spots online prior to the showing.

A message from Boston Mayor Marty Walsh will play before each film.

"Welcome to the drive-in movie series, we're happy you can join us tonight," Walsh said. He said that, even though the pandemic has changed traditional summer activities, there are still ways to stay together.

The drive-in will be held every Wednesday in July, beginning at the Boston Convention Center and then the Wentworth Institute of Technology campus.
