BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — The Crimson aren’t the only ones getting a workout inside Harvard Stadium.
The November Project now offers a free exercise program that takes place in the arena once a week.
Every Wednesday morning, dozens have been piling in to join the workout event, led by Dana Bogan and Evan Fray-Witzer. Both have said that the program is a hard but good time.
“Our standard workout is called a full tour, so Harvard Stadium is a horseshoe, so we go from one end of the horseshoe to the other. And then every week we come up with a different workout, so today we’re doing a workout where there are exercises at the top of the sections,” said Bogan.
“It’s scalable, it is incredibly hard, but at the same time, you can take it at your own pace, and so it really is accessible to everyone,” said Fray-Witzer.
Although it may be hard work, the duo said they like to keep it creative.
“The workout is up the seats, down the steps. So we’re inside the stadium, the seats are about twice the height of the stairs, and they’re deep, so I always explain it to people that it’s a lunge forward and up,” said Bogan. “We wake up early, we kind of keep it weird, keep it fun, keep it connected, just so that people can get some movement and get to know their community.”
For those who can’t make that Wednesday workout, the November Project also offers free workouts on Mondays in different parts of Boston. On Fridays, they also run the hills in Brookline.
“Just show up, come work your own pace, people will cheer you on. We want everyone,” said Fray-Witzer.
