BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — The Frozen Fire Festival has made its way to Charlestown. Originally from Salem, the free, weekend-long winter festival made its debut in Boston on Friday.

Dubbed the “hottest and coldest event of the season," the festival features fire dancers and performers, including one who shoots flaming arrows with her feet. There is also live music, shopping, food and drinks, and even curling.

“It’s definitely a unique way to bring activation and activity into some of these colder and darker months, when people are looking for things to do and looking for entertainment,” Shelby Elwell, general manager of The Anchorsaid.

It features many places to thaw out ranging from fire pits to fire shows, and even some massive insulated igloos.

“They’re all heated, very very warm, we got plenty of cozy blankets inside,” Elwell said.

The Frozen Fire Festival is from Dec. 12 - Dec. 14. at The Anchor in Charlestown from 11 a.m. - 11 p.m.
