WESTWOOD, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Gas prices in Mass. continue to fall despite the conflict in the Middle East.

According to AAA Northeast, the average price of gas decreased by five cents in the last week, costing Commonwealth residents $3.56 per gallon. This price is 19 cents lower than last month and 21 cents lower than Oct. 30, 2022.

“Once domestic refiners complete their switchover to winter blend fuel by mid-November, motorists could see lower prices at the pump in the weeks ahead,” said AAA Northeast Senior Spokesperson Mark Schieldrop.

The potential widening of the war in the Middle East has caused concern over the future price of gas.

“Oil markets are sensitive to global events and that’s propping up prices despite waning gasoline demand and plentiful domestic supplies,” said Schieldrop.
