Gillette Stadium Mass Vax Site Shutting Down Monday

FOXBORO, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — The COVID-19 mass vaccination site at Gillette Stadium will give out its final shots on Monday.

The vaccination site at the home of the Patriots first opened up on January 18, and was the Commonwealth's first mass vaccination site. Since then, the site has given out more than 610,000 shots. The site will give out its final shots and close for good by 6:00 PM on Monday.

Four other mass vaccination sites will be closing throughout the month of June: Hynes Convention Center on June 22, Natick Mall on June 23, Reggie Lewis Center on June 27, and the Doubletree in Danvers on June 30.

Two of the mass vaccination sites, the Eastfield Mall in Springfield and the Former Circuit City in Dartmouth, will be open into July.
