QUINCY, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — As Girl Scout cookie season is approaching, the funky cookies are making its way onto the menu at the Break Rock Brewing Company in Quincy.

This is something new for nine year Girl Scout veteran Olivia because “I’m used to selling it at train stations," she told WBZ NewsRadio.

While selling outside of liquor stores is still prohibited, breweries are considered a community gathering spot, and Olivia’s Mom agrees it’s a great way to connect with the community.

“It’s a nice social place a lot of people gather here,” she said. Mom added that they have over four hundred cookies to sell, “so we’ll take whatever we can get.”

Girls Scout Cookie season kicks off Jan. 14. Some customers at the brewery already purchased some boxes of Thin Mints along with three cans of beer.

Olivia’s mom said they take anything from Venom, PayPal, credit, and cash.

“Why not have a little sale of some cookies and get the season started off right,” she said.
