GLOUCESTER, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Gloucester firefighters put out a fire on a lobster boat on Sunday. Chief Eric Smith said his department was called to Captain Joe and Son's at 95 East Main Street at about 9:30 a.m.

They discovered smoke pouring from inside the Pivot, which was docked there. Firefighters had to move another boat that was in the way and chainsaw off part of the deck before putting the fire out.

An early investigation found the cause of the fire seemed to be structural wood too close to an engine exhaust.

Officials said no one was hurt.
