BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Gordon Hayward is expected to return to the court in six weeks following a successful surgery to repair his fractured left hand.

Now, the Celtics star has shared his first update since the surgery. Sprawled on the couch alongside his three young daughters, Hayward thanked fans on Instagram.

"Thank you to everyone for all the support and well wishes!" the former All-Star wrote. "I’m home and being well cared for by my three little nurses!"

Prior to his injury, Hayward was averaging 18.9 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 4.1 assists per game.

The Celtics take on the Washington Wizards at the TD Garden Wednesday night, hoping to extend their win streak to an impressive nine games.
