BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Gov. Charlie Baker received his first COVID-19 shot at the Hynes Convention Center mass vaccination site.

Gov. Baker said he waited until his age group was eligible to preregister for a COVID-19 vaccine. He is 64.

He used the state's preregistration system and registered around two weeks ago. The governor got the Pfizer-BioNTech shot, and said he didn't feel any arm pain after the injection.

According to the latest state report, the state has given out 4,022,836 COVID-19 vaccines and had fully vaccinated more than 1.5 million people so far.
