REVERE, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Gov. Charlie Baker is promoting a drive-thru COVID-19 testing site at Suffolk Downs in Revere.
The former horse racetrack is open seven days a week and requires an online registration.
With an uptick in coronavirus cases, the state now considers Revere at high risk for COVD-19 transmission. Revere is one of 60 communities that are seeing escalating infection rates.
Gov. Charlie Baker called the testing site a "terrific asset to help us help people get tested.”
Baker said the positive rate is being driven up by large gatherings and people not wearing masks – especially younger people between ages 19 and 39.
