Greater Boston Expected To Get 2 To 4 Inches Of Snow On Friday

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) Snow showers will fall throughout Greater Boston on Friday, going through Friday night. 

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory through Saturday morning for the central, northeast, and the southeast parts of Massachusetts. The NWS expects 2 to 4 inches of total snowfall throughout these areas. 

Some rain may be mixed in with the snow Friday on the Cape and the islands, according to the Accuweather forecast. Steadier snow is expected later on Friday. 

Western Massachusetts is not expected to get much snow at all. 

The National Weather Service is also warning about a slippery commute later on Friday, and is encouraging residents to be cautious when traveling.
