BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — With so many towns across the Commonwealth moving their trick-or-treat dates, some lucky kids have a shot at a lot of extra Halloween candy.
Wet and windy weather has forced many places to push their official trick-or-treating nights to Saturday, with a few going on Friday. See a full list here:
WBZ traffic reporter David Struffolino lives on the border with another town that has moved its trick-or-treat to Saturday. But the town he lives in has not.
That means many kids who live in his area will be enjoying two Halloweens.
"Where I live, they're not changing the trick-or-treating schedule, but right across the street from me is a different city—I live right on the town line—and they are changing to Saturday," Struffolino said. "So this is a score for those kids, a major score, because they're gonna get to go out two nights. I mean, what kid is gonna stay home?"
So how's he preparing?
"I already bought a whole bunch of extra candy, but then the news came out today about the change, and I don't think I bought enough," Struff said. "I'm gonna have to go buy more!"
