BILLERICA, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — It was a fantasy brought to life, as Sugar Plum Parties celebrated two years of their Billerica location dazzling parties with princesses and other fictional characters on Sunday.

'Princess Palooza' hosted princesses like Cinderella, Elsa, Snow White, Jasmine, and Moana, alongside surprise guests including Mickey & Minnie Mouse, Care Bear, and the Paw Patrol. Princesses came out for a meet and greet with party-goers in groups of four to five at a time. Officials at SPP said the event was their way of saying 'thank you' to their supporters in the last couple years.

WBZ's Matt Shearer spoke with the Owner of SPP Keith Dennehy, who said the experience of bringing the Disney characters to life is something special.

"When a child sees their favorite characters and they light up— you can't get that on Amazon, there's no better gift than that expression," Dennehy said.

'Princess Palooza' was an event fit for royalty, having a Build-A-Bear machine, raffles, prizes, cotton candy, and a booth to snap photos with Disney princesses.

"I contacted Elsa and said we were having an event here, and she's friends with all these characters here— they all stopped what they were doing to make all these kids really happy," Dennehy said.
