MANCHESTER, NH. (WBZ NewsRadio) — New Hampshire officials said on Thursday that they believe missing Manchester child Harmony Montgomery was murdered in 2019.

The investigation into her disappearance is now a homicide investigation. Local and State law enforcement announced Harmony's disappearance in January. The girl was five years old when she vanished in Manchester between November 28 and December 10, 2019.

Officials said they had found "biological evidence" that led them to the conclusion the girl was murdered, but haven't yet recovered a body.

Harmony's father and stepmother, Adam and Kayla Montgomery, are facing a variety of charges related to the girl's welfare but no homicide charges.

An emotional Manchester Police Chief Allen Aldenberg said police were still looking for anyone with any information on the case. "If you are that person, I implore you to come forward...do it for this little girl, the time is now," he said.
