CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Harvard University joined the list on Wednesday, of higher education institutes in Massachusetts requiring Covid vaccines for the fall semester.
The school announced that students must be fully vaccinated before returning to campus. Harvard said in a statement, "as with existing student requirements for other vaccines, exceptions will be provided only for medical or religious reasons."
In addition, students should be full vaccinated before returning to campus, which means they should get their final dose two weeks beforehand.
Students will need to submit a copy of their vaccination card to the school.

"We expect that faculty, staff, and researchers working on campus will make every effort to be vaccinated as well," said President Lawrence Bacow in a statement.
He said vaccination expectations for faculty, staff and researchers is under consideration and will be updated soon.
In collaboration with Mass General Brigham, the school will hold Covid vaccine clinics beginning on Friday, May 7, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Murr Center.
