HAVERHILL, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — State Police and the Essex District Attorney's Office are investigating a police-involved shooting that happened in Haverhill early Friday morning.
According to Essex DA's office, Haverhill police responded to a report of domestic violence at the home on Thorndike Street shortly before 5 a.m. Friday. Upon arrival, a man was shot multiple times by police.
The man was initially taken to Lawrence General Hospital and was later transported to a Boston-area hospital for treatment.
The DA's office said on Friday he is still alive, and that no police officers were injured in the incident.
