BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Don’t get too comfortable with the weather. Another heat advisory is on the way starting Sunday.
The National Weather Service (NWS) issued a heat advisory Sunday for most of southern New England, except for the Berkshires and south coast of Rhode Island and Massachusetts.
Temperatures are expected to be between 90 to 95 degrees, with the highest heat indices expected on Monday. Combined with the humidity, the real feels will be near 100 degrees.
The advisory goes into effect 7:00 a.m. Sunday until 8:00 p.m. Monday as seasonal weather returns Tuesday.
Hot weather can cause hyperthermia, when the body can’t cool itself down. The NWS urges residents to take precautions and stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water, limit spending time outdoors, wear light weight and colored clothing, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
