SANFORD, Maine. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Authorities in Maine said a helicopter crashed in Sandford Saturday morning.
Wells Fire Captain Jeffrey Cullen tweeted that the helicopter was on its side after crashing at the Sanford Seacoast Regional Airport.
Injuries have been reported and a Lifeflight crew was called to the scene.
The Federal Aviation Administration said in a statement that the pilot was the only person on bard the helicopter at the time of the crash.
The air space was closed just after 10:30 a.m.
