BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) —The first snow of the season landed in Massachusetts Thursday morning.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS), Brimfield in Hampden County got seven inches of snow overnight. Meanwhile, Boston got around an inch of snow and four inches in Worcester County.

WBZ NewsRadio’s James Rojas spoke with residents in Leominster early Thursday morning, where around three inches of snow covered the city.

“I mean it’s not too bad out yet, but we’ve had worse,” resident Alex said.

Local public workers were out on the streets early to plow the snow.

“For us, we’re out there during the whole thing, and it’s amazing to see the rushing and the crazy driving that does go on,” Jake said.
