"Hocus Pocus 2" To Begin Filming In Rhode Island In October

LINCOLN, R.I (WBZ NewsRadio)— Something is brewing in Lincoln, Rhode Island just in time Halloween.

Crews will begin to film next month for the new Disney film "Hocus Pocus 2", the sequel to a 1993 cult classic starring Bette Midler and Sarah Jessica Parker. Set construction began this week for the film in Lincoln's Chase Farm Park, where crews are set to build a 1600s New England style village.

Filming for the movie is expected to kick off in October, according to Lincoln Town Administrator Phil Gould. Kendall Cooper Casting posted a casting call for extras for the film seeking people of all age groups and ethnicities. Anyone interested in being an extra will need to submit proof of vaccination and participate in COVID testing.

The film is set to come out on Disney+ in 2022.
