BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio 1030)The Hollywood Vampires have postponed the first three dates of their 2023 tour after frontman Johnny Depp suffered a “painful injury to his ankle”.

On Monday, May 29th, the day before the revived American rock supergroup was scheduled to kick off their tour, the band announced on Twitter the “sad” news that they are rescheduling three concerts set for this week.

The Vampires were scheduled to play at the SNHU Arena in Manchester New Hampshire, the Wang Theatre in Boston, and in Bethel, New York this week.

Those shows will now be made up in July.

“Johnny has sustained a painful injury to his ankle following his recent appearances and has been advised by his doctor not to travel,” they wrote in a statement shared on Instagram.

The band is composed of Depp, Aerosmith's Joe Perry, Tommy Henriksen, and Alice Cooper.

The band was first formed back in 2012.

Then in 2022 just days after Depp won his defamation lawsuit against his ex-wife Amber Heard, Depp, Perry and Cooper announced they were joining up for a 2023 tour along with rhythm guitarist Tommy Henriksen.
