BROCKTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — The Brockton Fire Department said a truck and attached horse trailer caught fire in Brockton on Sunday morning.

The truck was on busy Route 24, and firefighters were tipped off by the pillar of thick, black smoke that was visible from a distance.

The fire spread from the truck to the attached horse trailer, but the horse was alright. It had already been taken out of the trailer and was "calmly standing by on the side of the road," as the trailer went up in flames.

No injures were reported, either to the horse or its owner.
