SOMERVILLE, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Residents are not letting the incoming snowstorm dampen their Super Bowl Sunday plans.

The National Weather Service forecasts around 8 inches of snow for Massachusetts, but mostly in the northern part of the state.

In Boston, much of the snowfall should stop before sunrise Sunday morning, and that’s music to these residents’ ears.

“I have the snow blower ready to go,” Fred told WBZ NewsRadio. He was out today to get some extra batters for his TV remote ahead of Sunday’s game between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles.

“Hopefully the power stays on and everybody will be fine,” he added.

For Barry, he will be enjoying the big moments in Pittsburg and is not concerned with the snow storm.

“I’m flying out tomorrow at noon, [and] I won’t worry about it,” he said.

Super Bowl LIX kicks off at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday in New Orleans.
