How To Watch The Only Live Fireworks Display In Massachusetts

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — A Cape Cod country club will be holding the state's only live fireworks display on Independence Day, and residents are being invited to either watch the show from their back yards, or stream the event live from the comfort of their own homes.

At 9 p.m. on July 4th, the skies over Mashpee will be lit up with fireworks coming from the Willowbend County Club.

"This July 4th is like no other in recent memory," said David Southworth, owner of Willowbend. "Those living around our community can watch the spectacle from their backyards while others across the Cape and throughout Massachusetts can enjoy all the amazing starbursts live on their computer, tablet or smartphone."

Anyone not able to see the Willowbend fireworks display from the safety of their homes can tune in on online. Willowbend is partnering with Regan Communications to broadcast the event live on Facebook. Click here to watch the show at 9 p.m.

Before the fireworks celebration, at 5:25 p.m., there will also be a socially-distanced flag raising ceremony at Willowbend, involving a US Marine Color Guard led by retired US Marine Corps General and former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Joseph Dunford Jr.

There will be members of the Mashpee Police Department present, led by Chief Scott Carline, and Massachusetts Fallen Heroes Executive Director Dan Magoon. The ceremony will be hosted by WBZ sports legend Bob Lobel.
