BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — The Hynes Convention Center had a soft launch Thursday as a mass vaccination site. It’s expected to be the largest site of this kind in Massachusetts.
CIC Health said the sheer size of the site lets them scale up the vaccination delivery more than seven times than that of Fenway Park. The site is transitioning to the Hynes Convention Center as Fenway Park gets ready for baseball season.
The site is starting with 500 appointments a day and will eventually grow to 9,000 appointments.
The site is expected to administer the Pfizer vaccine but that can change depending on supply.
