BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — The Institute of Contemporary Art - Boston's free East Boston gallery, called 'Watershed,' is now open for its 2024 season.
It features a new exhibition commissioned by Tate Britain called 'The Procession' which is made up of dozens of life-sized figures walking together in some type of parade or journey.
British artist Hew Locke, originally from Guyana, is the exhibit's creator.
ICA Chief Curator Ruth Erickson said 'Procession' is meant to convey hope as a group of diverse people appear to be moving into another life. "This is an incredible procession of 140 figures who are walking through time and space," she said.
The Watershed is open all summer.
It's free if you walk in, or you can buy a ticket at the Seaport ICA and take the free water shuttle across the harbor.
