BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Boston Common is a winter wonderland after the recent snow storm.

Dozens of locals and out-of-towners took advantage of the clear skies for some ice skating fun at the Frog Pond Sunday.

The public rink is open to all levels of skaters from wall-holding beginners to returning enthusiasts, like 69-year-old Jace Wilson.

“When I was a kid, we used to skate all day into the night,” Wilson told WBZ Newsradio as he gracefully glided around the rink. “I'm afraid someday I wake up and I won't have any knees left, so I'm fighting the clock."

For Vance and his family, they came all the way from Fort Lauderdale, FL to properly experience this classic winter activity. “It’s bright and warm so we brought the kid up so she can see snow for a day,” he said.

The Frog Pond outdoor ice rink is open daily throughout the winter season at 10 a.m. Admission is $10 and skate rentals are $15 for adults and $10 for kids. For more information, visit here.
