Injury At Boston Film Shoot Delays "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever"

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — One of the next entries in the Marvel Cinematic Universe was put on hold after one of its stars suffered an injury on set. Disney's upcoming movie Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, was originally scheduled to be released in the summer of 2022 but was pushed back to November of that same year.

According to Deadline, actor Letitia Wright allegedly suffered an on-set injury in August while filming a sequence on a stunt rig at a location in Boston. At the time of her injury, it was not expected to affect the film's shooting schedule. Production of the sequel continued without Wright in Atlanta, Director Ryan Coogler has allegedly filmed all sequences outside of Wright's performance.

Representatives of Wright said to the trade that she is recovering in London from her injuries, and looks forward to returning to work in early 2022 when the film resumes production.
