Investigation Underway After Suspect Is Shot By Police In Roslindale

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — An investigation is underway after a suspect was shot by Boston Police in Roslindale Thursday morning.

The shooting happened around 11:30 a.m. on Washington Street near Ukraine Way. A portion of the street between Archdale Road and Ukraine Way has been shutdown due to police activity.

The WBZ-TV I-Team reports there was a gun in the driver's car. When struggling over the weapon, the officer's gun discharged and the driver was wounded.

The suspect is believed to have non-life threatening injuries and is facing criminal charges.

No officers were shot but three were taken to a nearby hospital for evaluation, according to WBZ-TV's I-Team.

Footage will be reviewed by the District Attorney's office and is under investigation.

No other information was immediately available.
