Officials say the victim was near the crosswalk and the vehicle, a green 2005 Toyota Camry, allegedly struck the victim near the west side of Bedford Street.

Speed is not believed to be a factor in the crash, but it remains under investigation.

The driver of the Camry, a 28-year-old Buzzards Bay woman, remained at the scene and was cooperative with police.
