JFK Library Hosts Space Summit

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) - As part of the commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the moon landing, the JFK Library held an event last night that included the likes of Jeff Bezos and Caroline Kennedy.

The former US ambassador to Japan, Caroline Kennedy, remembered the memory of her father, President John F. Kennedy, and his legacy of pushing the United States to go to the moon.

The United States is among the countries looking to re-energize their space programs. Vice President Mike Pence announced in March that America will send astronauts to the moon by 2024.

WBZ's Jim MacKay was at the summit and has this report.
