BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — John Mayer is coming to Boston. Mayer said he'd be making a stop at TD Garden on March 13, as part of a solo acoustic tour. The stop is one in a whirlwind tour of 19 stops across the country in just over a month, beginning in New Jersey on March 9 and ending in Los Angeles on April 14.
Mayer said the tour would be a return to his "early days," and include "Old songs. Newer songs. Songs you haven’t heard yet that I’ll be road testing - all on acoustic, electric, and piano."
The singer-songwriter said tickets will go on presale next Wednesday, Feb. 1, and open for the regular sales on Feb. 3. Other prominent artists are also planning tours for the Boston area in 2023, including Taylor Swift at Gillette Stadium in May, and Madonna at TD Garden in August.
