BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Kids 12 and older in Massachusetts can now get vaccinated for COVID-19. This comes after the CDC endorsed the Pfizer vaccine for kids 12 to 15 years old.
Gov. Charlie Baker said this makes about 400,000 kids eligible to get the shot.
Right now, only the Pfizer vaccine is available to anyone 12 to 17 years old. They will need permission from parent or guardian to get the shot. That consent form can be found here.
The parent or guardian, however, does not need to go with the child to vaccination appointment to give consent. If they decide not to go, they should download and complete a pre-vaccination screening form, which can be found here.
Appointment can be found through the state’s VaxFinder tool. Residents can also preregister for an appointment at a mass vaccination site or a regional collaborative location.
