KINGSTON, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — A new minors policy has been put in place for this weekend's Kingston Carnival.
According to Carnival organizer Fiesta Shows, all children between ages 13 and 17 must be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or chaperone who is over 21 years old.
Each adult can only chaperone four minors at a time, with larger groups requiring an additional adult chaperone per every four children. The adults must remain at the event with the minors at all times and proof of ID may be required for any guests, Fiesta Shows writes on its website.

The rule change comes after a fight broke out last Friday night at the Weymouth Carnival, which Fiesta Shows also operates. Police said the brawl mostly involved juveniles and young adults.
Two people were charged in the fight, including a juvenile. Fiesta Shows said no one was injured, but canceled the remaining carnival dates on Saturday and Sunday.
Additionally, Lt. Michael Skowyra of Kingston Police told WBZ NewsRadio that they have increased security for the Kingston Carnival to 6-8 officers on patrol.
"The police department does have an operations plan in place for potential concerns, and then the Fiesta Shows carnival has implemented some policies relative to what is and isn't allowed within this area, as well as what individuals can enter as far juveniles with escorts and things of that nature," Skowyra said.
The Kingston Carnival runs through Sunday at Kingston Collection Way.
