CANTON, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — A six-week old kitten was rescued from a storm drain in Canton earlier this month, the Animal Rescue League of Boston said Wednesday.
ARL said it received a call on July 19 about a kitten wandering on Neponset Street. ARL agents eventually found the kitten in a storm drain near the on-ramp to I-95 in Canton, and used food and kitten sounds to lure him out into a humane trap.
The kitten weighed just over a pound that day, but has since been recovering at ARL’s Boston Animal Care & Adoption Center.

Once the kitten, now named Pigeon, reaches the appropriate age to be neutered and gains enough weight, he will be available for adoption.
ARL is also reminding residents to call ARL Field Services at (617) 426-9170 if they spot a domestic animal in danger or distress.
