Last-Minute Valentine's Day Shoppers Hit Framingham Stores

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — In case you forgot about Valentine's Day this year, you're not alone.

Dozens of last-minute shoppers were sweeping the shelves in Framingham Sunday morning, looking to score some sweet treats and heart-shaped gifts for their loved ones.

Outside one pharmacy, Michael from Framingham was walking to his car with a cart full of candy and a big red balloon. Unfortunately, he didn't make it home with every item he bought.

"I'm grabbing my mother some Valentine's -- and there goes the ballon we just got her," he said while speaking to WBZ NewsRadio. "It's floating away."

While Michael was pleading with the cashier for a refund on his balloon, several other shoppers who procrastinated until Sunday were inside scouring the remaining Valentine's Day card collection.
